Libmikmod is a portable sound library, capable of playing samples as well as module files, originally written by Jean-Paul Mikkers (MikMak) for DOS. It has subsequently been hacked by many hands and now runs on many Unix flavours. This is a compatibility library version for existing applications.

    Install Howto

    1. Add the following line to /etc/apt/sources.list:
      rpm [Sisyphus] http://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus x86_64 classic
      rpm [Sisyphus] http://ftp.altlinux.org/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus noarch classic
      
    2. Update the package index:
      # sudo apt-get update
    3. Install libmikmod2 rpm package:
      # sudo apt-get install libmikmod2
